Our Programs & Services
Much has will in the diagnosis and treatment of children and adults with autism spectrum disorders over the years, still the fundamental programs and services at QC C.A.R.E will remain based on client-centered values. Values that offer progress towards as increased personal independence and fulfillment as each person with in the autism disorder spectrum can achieve. QC C.A.R.E is a intermediate by which individuals with autism spectrum disorders continues to learn – and to become independent, productive, contributing members of their communities.

Since its founding, QC C.A.R.E continues to be responsive to the changing and growing needs of families. Whatever the need, we build a program for each person we serve, and continually modify the plan as the person makes progress. And we build success into each program.

In the past, people with disabilities were not expected to achieve, so most didn't… because low expectations result in unfulfilled potential. QC C.A.R.E sets its expectations high, moving beyond traditional boundaries, to explore and encourage each individual’s highest potential.

Supportive Living Residential Service
Every QC C.A.R.E program is targeted to helping people with Autism to become a closer part of the world in which they live. This principle drives the direction of all QC C.A.R.E programs and services. We are looking to make a difference in the lives of those with Autism.
For individuals requiring long term care we give them an alternative to living in an institution or in their parents' homes, and allow them to exercise their independence as adults while being provided a caring homely environment. We work closely with each family to establish and develop a home environment to support the person’s goals. Each individual's needs are addressed to best support his or her individual growth.

Residents have regular contact with family and friends, participates in regular group and individual recreation activities, and attends an adult day program or job of their choice.

These facilities are managed in consultation with the Department of Human Services. Qualified Staff is on hand 24-hours a day to assist the residents. Our qualified Staff helps in development of an individualized plan of services that is designed to teach skills in housekeeping, personal hygiene, clothing care, shopping, money management, communication, telephone use, and community and leisure activities.

In the pursuit of our mission, to make a real difference in the life’s of individuals with disabilities and their families, QC C.A.R.E tries to provide services for as many individuals as possible. No human services agency is able to meet all of the needs of the population it is designed to serve, either in quantity or types of service. Until such time as treatment services are available in sufficient number to meet the demands of the community, QC C.A.R.E will work to serve those who display the greatest need for our available services. It is our intention to avoid making decisions which affect our and services offered on the basis of pressure from political factions, parents and parent groups, and other agencies.
